Rehabilitation & Pain Management Packages
Does your pet have an ongoing lameness? Or does your pet suffer from decrease muscle strength or nerve function?
Dr. Tasha Wilson is a veterinarian certified in acupuncture treatment and specializes in Pet Rehabilitation. Similar to physical therapy in humans, canine rehabilitation improves a pet’s strength, balance, and ability to bear weight on weak or injured limbs, and aids in pain management. Patients with neurological diseases like disc disease, degenerative myelopathy, or other disorders that cause nerves dysfunction can benefit from rehabilitation therapy as well.
Dr. Wilson incorporates pain relief modalities, like acupuncture, cold laser therapy, and electrical muscle stimulation to help your pet feel better. Using different techniques to localize pain including testing flexibility, muscle strength and joint range of motion, she not only establishes a treatment plan that helps with pain relief, but also will incorporate an exercise plan that assists with strengthening, flexibility, and nerve function if needed.
